Hey! My name is Leslie Potts. I’m a proud Detroiter currently studying Political Science and Ethnic Studies at Bowling Green State University. I want to get involved with the Original Experience team because I believe that we can be successful in our careers and be our authentic selves at the same time! I firmly believe that learning to take failed experiences with grace is how we grow into better people. In my free time, I enjoy surfing Pinterest, Tumblr, staying up to date on the latest in virtual activism, and searching for the best cup of hot chocolate. When I’m not online, I can be found dancing around campus. Stay Original!

Original Experience Advisory Krewe (the "A-Krewe")
What is a Krewe?
A Krewe is an organization that puts on a parade or ball for carnival season and the term is most associated with the New Orleans Mardi Gras, but Krewes are part of celebrations and carnivale's all over the world. At Original Experience, we don't have committees, we have Krewes. Committees have boring meetings, play politics and aren't famous for being innovative or fun. Krewes are groups of people who are innovative fun while working extremely hard to design and throw a great parade and party that everyone, including the Krewe members, can enjoy. Committee or Krewe? It's a no-brainer.
Welcome to our Krewe.
Below are the volunteer members of the Original Experience A-Krewe who help us make OEx better through assisting with strategic planning, development and pretty much cope with anythign that's thrown at them in the name of making this program great, right, fun, useful and basically kick ass.
If you are interested in joining the A-Krewe. Get on the list and we'll notify you when "A-Krewe" recruitement starts.
My name is Eugene Christopher Malise, or Chris if we are being friendly (which I hope that we are). I was a Communication major with a concentration in Public Relations, a minor in business and marketing, and a second minor in tourism and events management at George Mason University. I currently live in Washington DC and I am the project manager for a private medical practice in Maryland.
I wanted to get involved with Original Experience because I know firsthand how difficult it can be to figure out what you want to do with the rest of your life. When I was in college I could not pick out what I wanted to have for dinner, let alone tell you what I wanted to do for a “career”. I also know how frustrating it is to have finally figured out what you want to do, and then have no clue how to achieve it (or even where to begin.
I have a passion for branding and marketing and I do some consulting work on the side. I have great communication skills, excel at creative problem solving, and I have an eye for the best “selfie lighting”. In my free time I like to travel, swim, and love any excuse to get on the water. I love a good book and a better brunch and I am the proud father to a one pound bag of Sour Patch Kids.
