Courtney Kirschbaum has helped thousands of people get better jobs and careers by giving them the inspiration, motivation and tactics to move up or on.
An award-winning presenter, career strategist and advocate, if you subscribe to Fast Company or Business News Daily Magazine you may have already seen her work.
More than a coach, Courtney is a champion and advocate helping people realize their potential through career strategies and insider tactics that aren’t taught in college or trade schools.
A first generation college graduate, she worked and paid her way through college and believed that same hard work would equal success after graduation.
She quickly realized college had not taught her the nuances of the business world or prepared her for success there, that mentors were rare and champions and advocates even more so.
After stumbling in her first interview with a blue chip company, she saw her dream of working overseas slipping away. She rallied and convinced a manager at KPMG to give her a chance, that chance was all she needed.
Soon after, she landed a sought-after position as an international project manager and was dispatched overseas, where she spent the next decade as an expatriate hiring and developing talent throughout Europe and Asia. She saw eager new hires being overworked and under-developed, facing the same challenges she'd faced.
In 2012 Courtney started her own company to share her lesson's-learned and champion the next generation. She speaks and leads workshops at companies and universities all over the US and Canada and delivered the closing talk at TEDx Edmonton.
After experiencing the limitations of the glass ceiling and the gender pay bias, and challenges unique to first generation professionals, leveling the playing field is important to Courtney. She donates a portion of Original Experience profits and a portion of all her speaking fees to Pathways to Success Youth Project, which teaches students success tactics and strategies giving them the skills and confidence to go after their dreams.
